I reviewed the final exam components: 1) reflective work around strengths, weaknesses, and goals in the areas of reading and writing; 2) reflective work on poetry by choosing (of the four they wrote) the one that best demonstrates their ability with and knowledge around poetry, explaining it, and adding what they know about poetry that isn't shown in that poem, and 3) an anonymous evaluation of me as their teacher.  At the final exam, students will received a folder of some of their scored work with my comments/feedback for use for the reflection and goal-setting. They received two of their earlier poems today and already had the latest two in their possession.  They should make their poem choice and begin reflecting on that portion in preparation for the exam.
